 It is essential when choosing yoru fountain's location that there is a power source and a sturdy mounting surface.
Before you install your fountain, decide where you are going to plug in the electrical cord that comes with it. You have two options for plug-in points: We suggest a standard wall outlet placed behind the stone in order to hide the cord. We recommend having an electrician or licensed contractor install this outlet for you. Once you have decided the location of the fountain, make sure the outlet is placed at least 18 inches above the bottom of the tray and more than 24 inches below the top of the hood. In other words, place the outlet near the middle of the fountain.
The fountain's measurements will help you in deciding the location of the fountain on the wall and placement of the outlet. It is recommended that your new outlet be wired to a wall switch so that you can easily turn it off and on.
Do not use a recessed outlet since our plug is flat and may not fit into the recessed box.
If you do not want to place an additional outlet behind the fountain just make sure there is an outlet close by.
