Where Should You Place Your Water Fountains?
Considering the location of your water fountain...
|There are several factors to consider when you decide where to place your new water fountains. While water fountains are engineered to minimize splash, there will always be an occasional spritz or two and you want your floors to be able to weather this… For this reason, we recommend that floor and wall fountains be placed over flooring that will not easily be damaged by water. Fine wood floors or carpeting are not ideal for fountain placement. Ceramic or linoleum floors, or any floor that will not be damaged by an occasional water drop or two, are ideal. Tabletop fountains require the same attention…choose a table surface that isn’t marred by water droplets…a nice stone or synthetic tabletop is better than your best antique for this purpose!|
Secondly, you will want to consider traffic patterns where you put your fountains. If there are people steadily entering/leaving the area of the fountain, do they have enough space to get by the fountain without brushing up against it? Are children likely to play in the water? Are animals likely to drink from the fountain? If so, you might want to consider relocated your new fountain!
